“In this regard, together with the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia, with the support of the Federal Agency for Nationalities and with the participation of many of those present here, we are holding the second Catherine Forum on 20 December at the National Centre “Russia”. It is a forum of invitation to Russia for those people who are already here, who want to come, and who are ready to work for the benefit of the country… Of course, we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to visit the Catherine Forum. We also ask that the government be requested to make the forum a regular event and to include it in the implementation plan for the updated State National Policy Strategy, which is to be adopted,” said Matis.

He added that the forum could become a platform for preparing for the 300th anniversary of Catherine II.

Putin thanked Matis for the work carried out by the autonomy and for the invitation, clarifying that his attendance would depend on his schedule.
